A freight train with 50 containers departed from the dry port of Xi’an to the capital of Uzbekistan. This is the first trip of the year within the framework of the accelerated route “China – Kazakhstan – Uzbekistan”, aimed at developing rail transportation.
The train carries household appliances, textiles and chemical products. On the way, it will cross the border of China and Kazakhstan through the Khorgos – Altynkol crossing and continue in transit through Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan.
Reduced travel time has become a key advantage of the new route. Cargo delivery from Xi’an to Tashkent will now take only 5-6 days instead of the previous 8-10 days, which significantly increases the efficiency of transportation.
