The volume of cargo transportation along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR) in January-November 2024 increased by 63%, reaching 4.1 million tons. Container transportation increased by 2.6 times and amounted to 50.5 thousand TEU. This became possible due to the increase in the route’s capacity to 6 million tons per year, including up to 100 thousand TEU containers.
In 2024, the TITR Coordination Center was created to develop the infrastructure and expand the functionality of the route. The new platform will help reduce the delivery time between Europe and Asia to 15 days, which increases the competitiveness of the corridor at the global level.
Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey, China and other key participants in global trade are actively involved in the project. Particular attention is paid to the modernization of infrastructure, which makes the route the most important tool for international logistics chains.
