PSA Singapore (PSA) and Evergreen Marine Corporation (EMC) have announced a joint venture in Singapore to improve the efficiency of container operations and strengthen their collaboration. The new terminal will be operational by the end of 2024, providing EMC with long-term capacity guarantees for its growing fleet.
PSA International CEO Ong Kim Pong noted that ports and shipping lines are key to global trade, and the new collaboration with Evergreen Marine offers opportunities to improve supply chain resilience. The project is in line with PSA’s Node-to-Network (N2N) strategy to optimize the connectivity of ports and shipping companies for the smooth flow of global trade.
EMC Chairman Y. Y. Chang emphasized that green vessels and efficient terminals are at the core of their business. The new joint terminal will not only strengthen the company’s position in Asia, but will also mark the beginning of a global partnership with PSA to promote the development of highly efficient port infrastructure.
