Rail Baltic Estonia has announced a tender for the construction of the 57 million euro Ülemiste Linda International Passenger Terminal. Designed by world-renowned architectural studio Zaha Hadid Architects, the project will be one of the most modern and sustainable transport hubs in the region. The terminal will connect international rail routes with local transport networks, including trams and buses, and will play a key role in the Rail Baltica project, which will connect Estonia and the Baltic States with the rest of Europe.
Anvar Salomets, CEO of Rail Baltic Estonia, emphasized that the construction of the Ülemiste terminal brings us closer to creating fast and efficient connections to Europe, opening up new opportunities for local businesses. Together with architects, engineers and builders, the company aims to complete the project by 2028, offering passengers a comfortable and sustainable travel experience.
The terminal was designed in collaboration with the Estonian architectural firm Esplan, with an emphasis on functionality and architectural excellence. The design combines modern standards of environmental sustainability with the unique approach of Zaha Hadid Architects, making it not only a center of convenience, but also an example of an innovative approach to the construction of transport facilities.
