According to the State Enterprise “AMPU”, for the period from January to September 2024, Ukrainian seaports handled more than 74 million tons of cargo. This is a significant increase compared to the same period in 2023, when transshipment amounted to 41.1 million tons.
The bulk of cargo turnover – 46.3 million tons – was provided by agricultural products. September 2024 was especially successful, with a transshipment volume of 7 million tons, which is almost twice the figures for September last year.
In September, 4.1 million tons of agricultural products were delivered to international markets, emphasizing the importance of the agricultural sector in the overall structure of cargo transportation.
