The Finnish delegation paid special attention to the architectural and technical solutions of the future station, inspired by the nature of Latvia and the Baltic Sea. The station has been designed taking into account environmental aspects and the traditions of wooden architecture, which underlines the project’s commitment to sustainable development. Wood will be used in the finishing of the façade and the passenger platform, which fits harmoniously with the airport’s development plans.
