Kazakhstan increases grain exports to China and strengthens transport infrastructure.

At the briefing, Salamat Abzhaliyev, Deputy Director General for Marketing and Planning at KTZ-Freight Transportation, noted that Kazakhstan continues to actively export grain and flour to China, Central Asian countries, Iran, Afghanistan and Turkey. Over the past three years, grain exports to China have increased 5.7 times, making it a key destination for Kazakhstani exports.

Abzhaliyev also stressed the importance of strengthening infrastructure to improve cargo transportation. Thanks to the measures taken at Saryagash station, more than 36 pairs of trains to Uzbekistan are now passed daily. There were difficulties last year, but after modernization, the problems were eliminated.

In addition, there are still free routes through the Aktau port and Bolashak station in the direction of Turkmenistan and Iran. The construction of grain terminals in the Aktau and Kuryk ports is nearing completion, which creates opportunities for the redistribution of cargo flows and expansion of export opportunities.
