At the annual general meeting of shareholders of Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA), all proposed resolutions were approved, including the payment of a dividend of €0.08 per Class A share.

HHLA CEO, Angela Titzrath, in her speech noted the difficult financial year for the company. The war in Ukraine, geopolitical tensions, high inflation and rising interest rates have weighed on the economy, slowing recovery from the pandemic. This was reflected in the decline in container transport and handling performance. At the end of the financial year, HHLA recorded revenues of 1,446.8 million euros and operating profit (EBIT) of 109.4 million euros.

Shareholders approved the proposal of the Board of Directors and the Supervisory Board to pay a dividend of 0.08 euros per Class A share, which will amount to 5.8 million euros for shareholders of the Port Logistics subgroup. The payout share was 67%, which corresponds to the upper limit of the target range. For the Real Estate subgroup, whose shares are wholly owned by the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, it has decided to pay €2.20 per S share. In total, HHLA will pay the shareholders of both subgroups €11.8 million for the 2023 financial year.
