Baltic Hub has taken a significant step in its expansion by laying the foundation for the new T3 terminal in Poland, marking a crucial milestone towards becoming one of Europe’s largest container terminal complexes. The T3 terminal, set to feature a third deep-water quay and expanded storage yards, will solidify Baltic Hub’s status as the premier container hub in the Baltic Sea. The terminal is expected to be fully operational by the end of 2025, with the complete commissioning of all equipment.

In a symbolic ceremony, an endorsed letter was placed in a time capsule and embedded into the ground, witnessed by Baltic Hub’s Management and Supervisory Boards, key stakeholders, and representatives from the Polish Development Fund, IFM, and PSA International. The event also included prominent figures from local and national authorities, such as Arkadiusz Marchewka, Agnieszka Pomaska, Jacek Karnowski, Beata Rutkiewicz, Aleksandra Dulkiewicz, and Dorota Pyć.

Construction of the third deep-water quay began in October 2022, led by contractors Budimex and DEME. A 36-hectare artificial island has already been created, with all dredging works completed. The focus has now shifted to intensive civil works on the island. The new quay will be 717 meters long and 17.5 meters deep, equipped with advanced storage yards and state-of-the-art machinery, including seven ship-to-shore quay cranes and 20 semi-automatic yard cranes. The first batch of equipment is set for delivery in September 2024.
