The pilot multimodal transportation between Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates through Afghanistan and Pakistan has been successfully completed.

KTZ Express JSC and QazTrade JSC, in collaboration with the Pakistani logistics operator National Logistics Corporation (NLC), successfully conducted a pilot multimodal transportation to the port of Jebel Ali (UAE) through Afghanistan and Pakistan. This project is aimed at developing the export potential of Kazakh companies.

Transportation began on April 27 in the Pavlodar FEZ, where a cargo weighing 42 tons was loaded into two trucks and sent to the Zhetygen TLC. There it was loaded into two 40-foot sea containers, which were then delivered to the Pakistani port of Karachi. Having covered 4,900 km in 20 days, the containers arrived in Karachi, from where they were sent on a feeder vessel on June 1 and delivered to the port of Jebel Ali on June 3.

The entire transportation took 38 days, which was the most efficient solution for the client. It is planned to transport 60 containers along this route in June-July. This project demonstrates the coordinated work of KTZ Express JSC and their partners, opening up new opportunities for Kazakh exporters in the markets of the Middle East, South and Southeast Asia.
