During the teleconference, the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, took part in the opening of the Transport and Logistics Center in the city of Xi’an. This center, implemented as part of an agreement between Kazakhstan and China, will strengthen ties between Kazakh and Chinese partners and create a logistics platform connecting China with Kazakhstan, Central Asia and Europe. The project should significantly reduce cargo delivery times and improve Kazakhstan’s position as a transit hub in Eurasia.
The President also opened the Innovation Center created by NC KTZ JSC together with Huawei. The center is aimed at implementing the Smart Railway project and includes digital solutions that help improve the efficiency of railway transport. The projects are being implemented with the participation of world leaders in the field of IT and telecommunications, demonstrating Kazakhstan’s commitment to innovative solutions in the field of transport infrastructure.
