ევროკავშირის აღდგენისა და მდგრადობის ფონდმა მწვანე შუქი აუნთო პროექტის დაფინანსებას სახელწოდებით „პორტების მართვის ციფრული ტრანსფორმაცია ტრანსპორტისა და ლოგისტიკური მონაცემების დამუშავებისა და ანალიზის გაუმჯობესების გზით“, რომელიც მიზნად ისახავს ლატვიის პორტებისა და ლოგისტიკური დერეფნების დიგიტალიზაციას. პროექტი, რომელსაც რიგის თავისუფალი პორტის ადმინისტრაცია ხელმძღვანელობს, მოიცავს თანამშრომლობას ისეთ ძირითად პარტნიორებთან, როგორიცაა ვენტსპილსის პორტის ადმინისტრაცია, ლიეპაიას სპეციალური ეკონომიკური ზონის ადმინისტრაცია, ტრანსპორტის სამინისტრო და სხვა დაინტერესებული მხარეები, მათ შორის VSIA „Latvijas Jūras administrācija“, SJSC „Latvijas Dzelzceļš“, SIA „LDz Cargo“, SRS საბაჟო ადმინისტრაცია და სახელმწიფო სასაზღვრო დაცვა. პროექტის განხორციელებისთვის დაფარული იქნება 3.24 მილიონი ევროს ოდენობის ღირებულება, ხოლო მიმდინარე მოვლა-პატრონობას და სამომავლო განვითარებას პორტები გააკონტროლებენ.
Annually, the Latvian logistics sector manages around 40 million tons of diverse cargo through road, sea, and rail transportation to/from Latvian ports. This intricate process involves various stakeholders, from shippers and consignees to carriers, stevedores, and control services like the SRS Customs Administration and the State Border Guard. The current logistics framework generates a substantial volume of data and documents, leading to a complex and time-consuming coordination process. In response to this challenge, the Freeport of Riga Authority is taking the lead in developing an integrated sharing platform for multimodal cargo services, fostering digitalization, and streamlining port and logistics processes. The project aims to enhance the speed of multimodal cargo movement, reduce administrative burdens, environmental impact, and ultimately boost the competitiveness of Latvian freight corridors while facilitating digital advancements for all involved stakeholders.
