From November 24 to 25, in the city of Turkistan, with the support of the administration of the Turkistan region, an international economic forum titled “Turkistan: Tourism, Economy, Investments” took place. One of the central topics of discussion was the prospects for the development of the Silk Road.
A panel session on logistics titled “Silk Road China-Europe: Opportunities and Challenges of the Middle and Southern Corridors” attracted special interest from forum participants. During this discussion, the Acting CEO of “KTZ Express” Damir Kozhakhmetov shared information about the measures being taken to develop the Middle Corridor (TMTM).
The forum also highlighted important issues, such as increasing the country’s transit potential and implementing projects for the construction of a dry port at the “Bakhty” crossing, a logistics center in Xian (China), and a terminal in the Georgian port of Poti.
