Expanding maritime links: Unifeeder strengthens connectivity between Bremerhaven and Copenhagen

Since early November, CMP’s container terminal in Copenhagen has been served by an additional weekly call from a container ship, significantly enhancing connectivity. This service expansion establishes direct links between Copenhagen and three key ports in Germany: Hamburg, served twice a week, and Bremerhaven and Wilhelmshaven, each visited once a week.

This strategic expansion effectively doubles the weekly service, providing valuable opportunities for local and regional companies in Zealand, Denmark, and promoting increased trade. Currently managing almost 90% of goods arriving by container ships in Zealand, the additional weekly call from Unifeeder promises improved connectivity between Copenhagen and the major ports of Northern Europe. Anticipating significant population growth, with an expected additional 100,000 residents in Copenhagen by 2050, the increased demand for container-shipped goods underscores the importance of this enhanced service.
