For the first quarter of 2026, the Kühne+Nagel Group reported net revenue of CHF 5.6 billion, operating profit (EBIT) of CHF 343 million, and net income of CHF 248 million. The EBIT to gross profit ratio was 16%. The company notes that the efficiency improvement program launched in October 2025, which has enabled a sustained reduction in unit costs, significantly impacted the results.

The air freight, road transport, and contract logistics segments enjoyed a strong start to the year thanks to strict cost control. However, ocean freight experienced short-term disruptions in the Middle East. For the year, the company expects operating EBIT to be in the range of CHF 1.25–1.40 billion, emphasizing that its global network and close customer relationships allow it to flexibly respond to market changes, including rising raw material prices and fluctuations in consumer demand.

In ocean freight, revenue reached CHF 1.9 billion, with an EBIT of CHF 113 million and a volume of 1 million TEUs by the end of March. In air freight, revenue was CHF 1.6 billion, with an EBIT of CHF 111 million, and a volume of 516,000 tonnes, driven by growing demand for charter solutions. The road transport segment generated CHF 908 million in revenue and CHF 25 million in EBIT, with the company increasing market share and supporting regional supply chains, particularly between Saudi Arabia and the UAE. In contract logistics, revenue was CHF 1.2 billion, with an EBIT of CHF 94 million, including one-time gains from the sale of real estate in Germany, as well as the launch of new distribution centers in the US, UAE, and Singapore.
