The international transport and logistics group AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG has launched a consolidation warehouse in Wenzhou (China) to service one of its clients in the footwear and accessories segment. Previously, the company did not have active contractors in this region, so the project was implemented from scratch. At the preparation stage, AsstrA specialists, together with the client, defined the criteria for choosing a warehouse, possible supply volumes and service requirements, including a full range of storage services.
The organization of work includes receiving and consolidating batches from suppliers, scanning SSCC codes, tracking balances and regular reporting. After accumulating the required volume, the goods are sent by road to the destination country. In addition, AsstrA provides consultations on sample certification and takes on customs clearance services, which allows the client to avoid working with multiple contractors and minimize the risk of errors in documentation.
According to German Zagorovsky, Head of China Road Division, the company plans to scale this service for other partners. The use of technologies, including scanning of SSCC codes even with incomplete documentation from shippers, will simplify the identification of goods and speed up the processing of transport documents, ensuring competitive conditions in the market.
