DACHSER, a leading logistics service provider, is expanding its capabilities in the Leipzig-Halle region with a new warehouse. The new facility, designed for 25,000 pallet spaces, will become operational in early 2025. This multifunctional warehouse, currently under construction, is located in the Landsberg industrial park, next to the DACHSER Logistics Center Leipzig/Halle.
On an area of 17,200 square meters, DACHSER will store industrial and consumer goods as well as food products for its customers. In addition to storage and transportation, various logistics services such as order picking and special value-added services will be provided. The warehouse is equipped with three temperature zones, which makes it suitable for storing products at temperatures from +2 to +7 degrees, from +12 to +18 degrees, as well as at room temperature.
The facility was built to modern safety and environmental standards, including a photovoltaic system on the roof. The warehouse is equipped with advanced technology solutions such as IT systems, driverless pallet handling vehicles, LED lighting and chargers for employee trucks and electric vehicles. Its convenient location close to the A9 and A14 motorways, as well as its proximity to Leipzig/Halle Airport, allows DACHSER to efficiently transport goods throughout Germany and Europe, as well as access global markets.
