DHL Aviation, the aviation division of DHL Express, has introduced Xcelerate, a new product – an expedited airport-to-airport solution for urgent shipments. The service offers guaranteed capacity, priority loading and minimal transit times, targeting the needs of freight forwarders and large shippers who value speed and reliability. Bookings can be made up to the flight departure, and confirmations are made almost instantly.
According to Ingrid Raj, Head of Global Commercial Aviation at DHL Express, the product was created in response to customer requests and is inspired by the premium offers for passengers. Paul Ennis, Vice President Global Operations at DHL Aviation, emphasized that Xcelerate embodies the brand promise of “Excellence, Simply Delivered” by offering a standardized and easy-to-use service with maximum flexibility.
In addition, Xcelerate includes priority collection on arrival and full control over the shipment’s movement with a dedicated team and proactive notifications. The service also includes a mandatory surcharge for Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), supporting DHL’s goals to achieve more than 30% SAF use by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2050.
