DHL Supply Chain has extended its cooperation with Volkswagen Slovakia for five years, strengthening its position in automotive logistics. The partnership, which began in 2010, has successfully passed the selection process and received a new contract to service the Volkswagen plant in Bratislava.
As part of the agreement, DHL will continue to provide intra-plant logistics services, including supplying production lines. The company will support the plant with its many years of experience in automotive logistics to ensure the highest production standards are met.
The Volkswagen plant in Bratislava, covering an area of over two square kilometers, produces eight models under four of the group’s brands. DHL is responsible for managing cargo flows, handling and delivering materials, as well as packaging and the timely supply of components. More than 2,400 DHL employees ensure smooth processes and increase production efficiency.
