DSV has completed the largest transaction in its history, the purchase of Schenker from Deutsche Bahn.

DSV has officially completed the acquisition of logistics company Schenker from German rail company Deutsche Bahn for DKK 106.7 billion (approx. EUR 14.3 billion), creating a global leader in the transport and logistics industry. This is the largest transaction in DSV’s history, and will result in the combined company operating in more than 90 countries, with 160,000 employees and revenues of around DKK 310 billion (EUR 41.6 billion).

DSV CEO Jens H. Lund said: “With the completion of the acquisition of Schenker, we have reached a milestone in the history of DSV. We have been looking forward to completing the transaction and I am excited to welcome our new colleagues to the DSV organisation. With this acquisition, we become a world-leading player in global transport and logistics, at a time when global supply chains are more in focus than ever before, and our customers need a reliable and agile global network of services and products. By combining the two companies we will create a unique flexible platform for long-term financial growth to the benefit of our customers, employees, shareholders and other stakeholders.”

Schenker will be included in DSV’s financial statements from 1 May 2025. By the end of 2028, annual synergies are expected to reach DKK 9 billion, and the operating margins of the combined company will increase to DSV’s level across the board.
