FL Technics, a leading global provider of aircraft maintenance and repair (MRO) services and part of the international holding Avia Solutions Group, has announced the acquisition of the Czech company JOB AIR Technic. The deal provides for the transfer of 17,000 m² of production facilities at Leos Janacek Airport in Ostrava, the largest regional airport in the Czech Republic with a developed cargo and passenger infrastructure, to the management of FL Technics.

Founded in 1993 and formerly part of the Czech industrial group CSG, JOB AIR services narrow- and wide-body aircraft Airbus A320 (including NEO), A330, Boeing 737 NG and MAX. The company employs more than 400 specialists, has two hangar complexes with eight maintenance lines and a training center according to the Part 147 standard. JOB AIR has approvals from the aviation authorities of the EU, USA, Canada, Bermuda and other countries, which allows it to service the fleets of customers from different regions of the world.

“With the acquisition of JOB AIR, we immediately get eight operating maintenance lines in the very center of Europe – this eliminates the need for construction and certification from scratch,” said FL Technics CEO Žilvinas Lapinskas.

The new asset expands FL Technics’ European network, which already includes bases in the UK, Indonesia, Lithuania and a hub under construction in the Dominican Republic, and strengthens the company’s strategic presence in Central Europe.
