The annual Black Sea Platform conference, organized by the EU-Georgia Business Council with the support of the USAID Economic Governance Program, was held in Georgia. The participants focused on the development of the Middle Corridor, its key challenges and opportunities.
Particular emphasis was placed on projects and reforms aimed at strengthening trade ties with the EU via the Black Sea. APM Terminals reaffirmed its commitment to the development of the Middle Corridor, modernization of the Poti port, increasing its throughput capacity and improving logistics services.
Georgia has a strategic potential to become a regional hub for the Caucasus and Central Asia. APM Terminals plans to invest in infrastructure and process optimization to make the Middle Corridor more attractive for international trade.
