საქართველოსა და აზერბაიჯანის რკინიგზები შავ და კასპიის ზღვებს შორის კონტეინერმზიდების მოძრაობას იწყებენ.

ყაზახეთის სატრანსპორტო კვირეულის ფარგლებში, ალმატიში, საქართველოსა და აზერბაიჯანის რკინიგზის ხელმძღვანელებმა ხელი მოაწერეს მემორანდუმს შავი და კასპიის ზღვის პორტებს შორის დამაკავშირებელი რეგულარული კონტეინერმზიდების მომსახურების დაწყების შესახებ. ახალი მარშრუტი აჭარა-ფოთი-თბილისი-აბშერონი-სუმგაიტი-ალათი დააკავშირებს ორი ქვეყნის ძირითად საზღვაო და მშრალ პორტებს, მათ შორის თბილისის მულტიმოდალურ ტერმინალს, რომლის პირველი ფაზა 2025 წლის ივნისში ამოქმედდა.

The project includes a terminal-to-door freight delivery service and trains operating on a fixed schedule, ensuring stability and reducing transit times. Shippers will receive advance information about container arrival and return times, increasing the transparency and convenience of the service.

The launch of the new rail service will shift the transportation of empty containers between the Black and Caspian Seas from road to rail, reducing road congestion and improving environmental sustainability. In addition, in Almaty, the heads of the railways of Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Turkey signed a memorandum of cooperation aimed at strengthening the competitiveness of the Baku–Tbilisi–Kars line.
