Multimodal operator Hannibal, part of the Contship Italia group, has received 15 modern Terberg YT223 terminal tractors for domestic transport at the La Spezia Container Terminal (LSCT). The new equipment was delivered in two batches – at the end of 2024 and in March 2025 – and is already fully operational.

Each of the tractors is equipped with a fuel saving system that regulates consumption depending on the weight of the cargo, as well as a Terberg Connect system for remote monitoring of the machine condition and analysis of operational efficiency. This allows for increased precision and productivity of operations at the terminal, ensuring towing of cargo weighing over 100 tons in all conditions.
The equipment was supplied by Manuport, an Italian subsidiary of Terberg. The new batch is part of a wider cooperation project: in addition to the tractors for La Spezia, another 104 units are destined for the new Contship terminal in Damietta, Egypt, which is being built jointly with Hapag-Lloyd and Eurogate and is scheduled to begin operations in July 2025.
