A meeting with diplomatic missions was held at NC KTZ JSC on the development of the international transport route North-South. During the event, the advantages and prospects of this route were presented, as well as the results of the development of the railway industry in Kazakhstan for 2023.
Diplomatic missions expressed interest in the development of the corridor, noting its benefits for all participating countries. The North-South corridor has become a key element in the development of transport and economic relations between Kazakhstan and Iran and India, ensuring high speed of cargo delivery and all-weather transportation.
The International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC) project agreement, initiated in 2000, aims to create a more efficient and environmentally friendly shortcut route between the countries. This route reduces cargo delivery times and transportation costs, and reduces greenhouse gas emissions by more than 25%.
