Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan Aidarbek Saparov and CEO of the investment company Fawakeh Trading Company Hassan Heydarinassab discussed the prospects for increasing the export of Kazakh grain to Iran. In 2024, supplies increased 30 times, reaching 500 thousand tons, and the parties intend to strengthen trade and economic cooperation.

Aidarbek Saparov emphasized that Kazakhstan is ready to support Iranian partners and create conditions for expanding agricultural exports. In turn, Hassan Heydarinassab said that Iran is interested in increasing grain purchases to 3 million tons per year, which opens up new opportunities for the agricultural sector of Kazakhstan.

An important link in organizing supplies can be the Food Corporation, a state operator with extensive logistics capabilities. The company is ready to supply wheat, barley, flax, rapeseed, legumes and their derivatives, as well as attract private agricultural producers to long-term cooperation.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to develop joint proposals for the development of partnership in the agro-industrial complex, which will strengthen Kazakhstan’s position as a key grain exporter in the region.
