Kazakhstan and the EU discussed the launch of the Coordination Platform in Astana.

The Minister of Transport of Kazakhstan, Marat Karabaev, held a meeting in Astana with the Director General for International Cooperation of the European Commission, Henrik Hololei, and the Ambassador of the European Union to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kestutis Jankauskas.

The main topic of discussion was the upcoming opening on June 12 in Astana of the EU-Central Asia Coordination Platform, aimed at developing cooperation along the Middle Corridor. The parties confirmed their desire for close interaction within the framework of this new platform.

Particular attention was paid to the development of the Trans-Caspian international transport route, as well as promising infrastructure and investment projects that can significantly increase the efficiency of using trans-Kazakh corridors.
