Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan strengthen cooperation in the field of logistics.

A meeting of the management of JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ) and JSC Uzbekistan Temir Yollari was held in Almaty to discuss the development of transport and logistics cooperation. The companies summed up the results of their work for the past year and outlined strategic directions for 2025.

KTZ reported an increase in the capacity of the Sary-Agash border crossing by 50%, which made it possible to fully fulfill the requests of shippers. In turn, Uzbekistan Temir Yollari announced a 40% reduction in the tariff for the transit of Kazakh grain to Afghanistan through the Galaba station.

Additionally, the parties agreed on the joint development of the Trans-Afghan Corridor, which will strengthen the regional transport infrastructure and expand logistics capabilities for international transportation.
