Kazakhstan strengthens its role on the Trans-Caspian Transport Route: transit from China continues to grow.

In the first ten months of 2025, 292 container trains departed from China along the Trans-Caspian Route (TITR), a 12% increase compared to the same period last year. According to Samruk-Kazyna JSC, this growth was driven by a well-established terminal infrastructure system and efficient logistics with China.

A key link was the Kazakhstan-China terminal at the Xi’an dry port, which began operations in 2024 and has increased transit along the TITR by 33 times. Large shipments are assembled here, strengthening the route’s position on the China-Europe route.

A container hub at the port of Aktau and the ZHETYSU logistics terminal in Almaty will provide additional impetus to development. Samruk-Kazyna emphasized that KTZ projects to increase transport and transit potential remain key in the fund’s investment portfolio.
