During the negotiations between the Chairman of the Board of JSC KazMunayGas Askhat Khasenov and the CEO of AD Ports Group Mohammed Al Shamisi, it became known about the joint development of a container ship project with a capacity of up to 780 TEU. The vessel is being created taking into account the rapid growth of cargo traffic on the Trans-Caspian international transport route.
The project is aimed at strengthening the logistics potential of the region and ensuring sustainable supplies in a key direction, which is becoming increasingly popular in the context of changing global supply chains. In the future, the vessel should increase the throughput capacity of the route and optimize container transportation across the Caspian.
The exact construction dates and budget of the project have not yet been disclosed, but the very fact of its launch testifies to the long-term plans of KazMunayGas and AD Ports Group to develop maritime infrastructure and strengthen the role of Kazakhstan in trans-Eurasian logistics.
