Lithuanian business and corporate aviation specialist KlasJet, part of the world’s largest ACMI provider Avia Solutions Group, has signed an agreement with Egyptian carrier Air Cairo to operate charter flights in the summer of 2025. From May 30 to October 31, KlasJet will operate flights on the Milan-Cairo and Sharjah-Cairo routes, transporting tourists to one of the most popular holiday destinations in Egypt.
Air Cairo, partly owned by the national carrier EgyptAir, operates flights with more than 30 aircraft, mainly Airbus A320, and specializes in charter programs from Europe to Egypt. KlasJet became the first ACMI partner of an airline from an EASA-regulated country, which required coordinated work from both parties. From the signing of the contract to the first flight, only three days passed – thanks to the flexibility and efficiency of the KlasJet team.
The partnership aims to meet growing tourism demand, which plays a key role in Egypt’s economy. In the third quarter of last year alone, tourism revenues amounted to $4.8 billion, highlighting the importance of such international aviation initiatives for the country.
