During a working visit to China, Chairman of the Board of JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy Talgat Aldybergenov held talks with the management of Sichuan Port and Shipping Investment Group (SPSI) and Chengdu International Railway Port Investment & Development (CIPI). Projects to create an international hub Kazakhstan – Xinjin (Chengdu), build grain terminals and agrohubs, and develop warehouse infrastructure were discussed. The Chinese side presented digital solutions based on artificial intelligence to optimize transportation routes.
The KTZ delegation visited the Yungang Xinjin railway logistics park and the SPSI grain terminal, which is considered a key link in the export of Kazakh agricultural products to China and Southeast Asian countries. Prospects for the construction of a joint dry port in Chengdu and the development of terminal infrastructure were discussed with CIPI. Representatives of KTZ also got acquainted with the International Multimodal Transportation Management Center CIPI with an area of 17.6 hectares, including more than 150 thousand square meters of warehouse space, including specialized temperature and customs warehouses.
“Kazakhstan and China play a key role in the development of transit transportation between Asia and Europe. The implementation of joint projects will improve the efficiency of transport corridors and expand international cooperation,” said Talgat Aldybergenov.
