In Beijing, a meeting was held between the Chairman of the Board of JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy Talgat Aldybergenov and the head of CRRC Corporation Limited Sun Yongcai. The main attention was paid to the development of joint projects in the field of locomotive building and rolling stock modernization.

KTZ and CRRC have been cooperating for more than two decades: over 6 thousand freight cars, 150 passenger cars and more than 100 Chinese-made locomotives are operated on the network of the Kazakh company. Under the 2024 contract, deliveries of 200 new locomotives are on schedule, diesel models have already been certified for a 1520 mm gauge, and hybrid ones are undergoing testing.
“We highly value the established partnership and are confident in its long-term development,” said Talgat Aldybergenov.
The companies agreed to further expand their strategic cooperation, taking into account CRRC’s global experience as a major manufacturer of railway transport.
