KTZ Express presented the Aktau container hub as a reference point for the Middle Corridor.

On July 28, 2025, on the air of the Magistral-Live program, Managing Director for New Projects and Marketing of KTZ Express JSC Aidana Mukhamedieva spoke about the development of the international container hub in Aktau, a key element of the Middle Corridor. The new hub is already changing the face of the Trans-Caspian route and strengthening Kazakhstan’s role in multimodal logistics.

Mukhamedieva noted that the introduction of modern technologies, such as ZPMC remotely controlled RMG cranes and the digital Terminal Operation System (TOS), allows for 2-4 times faster container handling, increased safety of operations, and full integration with the port and customs IT systems.

The project is being implemented jointly with the Chinese Lianyungang Port Group and Aktau Sea Trade Port JSC. The first launch complex was technically opened in June 2025, ahead of schedule. In the future, Aktau will become a key logistics hub for the Caspian region and Central Asia with a full range of modern container services.
