The new terminal, established within the framework of the Kazakhstan-China logistics hub “One Belt, One Road” in Xi’an, has commenced operation in a testing phase, unlocking extensive opportunities for Kazakh agrarians and exporters. Direct cargo shipments have become more efficient, fostering the development of value-added chains in the agricultural sector and ensuring faster deliveries of agricultural products to global markets.
Situated in a strategically vital port, responsible for up to 40% of container trains along the China-Europe route, the new terminal will significantly reduce the delivery time of goods and provide “last-mile” transport and logistics services, enhancing the attractiveness of Kazakh routes for global shippers. These initiatives are part of the transformation strategy of “ҚТЖ” into a transport and logistics company and aim to integrate trans-Kazakhstan routes into the global transportation network, in line with the “One Belt, One Road” initiative.
