OCP and Maersk strengthen partnership to develop sustainable logistics.

OCP Group and Maersk have signed a new global Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), opening the next stage of their strategic cooperation. The partnership strengthens the long-standing ties between the companies and aims to develop sustainable, digital and flexible logistics solutions that support OCP’s international expansion, especially through its Specialty Products & Solutions (SPS) business.

The agreement covers a wide range of areas: ocean and inland transportation, logistics services, supply chain digitalization, joint educational programs and environmental initiatives. Particular attention is paid to the development of sustainable logistics practices, the introduction of alternative fuels and energy-saving solutions – as part of the common goal of both companies to achieve carbon neutrality by 2040.

Priorities include the expansion of transport capacities, the creation of a global warehouse network, the development of educational and research projects with the Polytechnic University Mohammed VI in Morocco.

“We are very pleased to see that our partners at OCP Group share our commitment to innovation and making supply chains more resilient and future-proof. Through our joint initiatives in the area of research and education, we also aim to increase the competencies in logistics and supply chain among the next generation of professionals in Morocco – one of our key markets in the Mediterranean,” said Emilio De La Cruz, Managing Director of A.P. Moller – Maersk in the region of South-Western Europe and Maghreb.
