A Polish delegation visited the Belgorod-Dnistrovsky Commercial Sea Port, considering the possibility of participating in its privatization. This information was confirmed by the former Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Viktor Dovgan, noting that this could be a promising Polish investment in the Black Sea region.

Among the representatives of Poland at the meeting were Bartłomiej Babushko, Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Tarnow and head of the consulting company Fundusz Górnośląski, as well as Wojciech Balczun, former head of Ukrzaliznytsia and now owner of WZB Trade. Their interest in the port confirms the intention of the Polish side to actively participate in the privatization process.

This will be the ninth attempt to sell the port’s single property complex. Previously, six auctions in 2023 and two attempts in the spring of 2024 ended unsuccessfully. The port team appealed to the authorities with a request to resume ship calls to the harbor in order to provide workers with stable work.
