Rhenus opens state-of-the-art logistics hub in Venlo, focusing on sustainability and innovation.

Rhenus Group has officially opened its high-tech logistics centre in Venlo, the Netherlands, strengthening its position in Europe and setting a new standard in sustainable and efficient logistics. The almost 72,000 m² facility combines warehousing, cross-docking and regional distribution under one roof, providing storage for up to 28,000 pallets and reducing delivery times.

The unique concept of the hub is a step into the future: energy-efficient systems with solar panels, a charging area for electric trucks (one of the first in the country) and BREEAM “Excellent” certification with the prospect of obtaining WELL. The centre also features modern security measures, including a mobile ADR bunker and CCTV surveillance by zones.

The official opening took place on 16 May. According to Rhenus CEO Tobias Bartz, this facility symbolises the company’s strategy for sustainable growth and care for its employees. All Rhenus Road employees in Venlo now work in one location, which increases internal synergies and speeds up customer service.
