In January-September 2024, the cargo turnover of the Port of Shanghai increased by 6% compared to the same period last year and reached 442.21 million tons. Container turnover during this time increased by 8%, reaching 39.1 million TEU.
In September 2024, the port’s cargo turnover amounted to 46.77 million tons, which is 1.8% more than in September 2023. Container turnover in September also increased by 4.9% and reached 4.25 million TEU.
