Stadler has opened a new plant in Poland for the production of traction converters.

Swiss company Stadler has opened a new production center in the Polish city of Bialystok, specializing in the production of traction and auxiliary DC/DC converters. These devices will be used in trams, metro trains and narrow-gauge rolling stock. The plant is equipped with innovative technologies that allow testing of equipment in conditions simulating real operation.

The total area of the plant is 7,000 m², and it has about 100 employees, with plans to increase to 250 people. The plant will be part of Stadler’s production network, ensuring the production of converters for 1,000 units of rolling stock by mid-2026. The company is actively looking for qualified specialists, including design engineers, system engineers and programmers.

This is already the third Stadler plant in Poland, where the company has been operating since 2006. The plants in Siedlce and Środa Wielkopolska are engaged in the production of passenger rolling stock and steel tram bodies. In addition, a service centre operates in Łódź, which strengthens Stadler’s position on the Polish and international markets.
