Tanjung Pelepas Port (PTP), 70% owned by MMC Corporation, set a new record by handling over 12.25 million TEU in 2024, surpassing the previous record of 11.2 million TEU recorded in 2021.
This achievement reinforces PTP’s status as Malaysia’s largest transhipment hub and a vital link in global supply chains. Chairman Tan Sri Chee Khalib Mohamad Noh credited the achievement to the dedication of the PTP team, highlighting the port’s role in supporting the country’s economic growth.
CEO Mark Hardiman highlighted that the port will continue to invest in asset upgrades, ESG initiatives, digitalisation and safety policies. Further infrastructure improvements are planned to increase capacity in 2025 and beyond.
