The dry port has become one of the key transshipment hubs in the cross-border transportation system between China, Europe, and Central Asian countries. Implemented as the second joint Chinese-Kazakh logistics project after the Lianyungang base, it plays a strategic role in the development of Eurasian transport corridors.
In 2025, 10 new broad-gauge railway lines were built within the port, along with intelligent infrastructure modernization. As a result, container handling time was reduced from five hours to one hour, significantly increasing throughput and cargo handling efficiency.
The project includes a Chinese-Kazakh railway transshipment station, a grain terminal for wheat handling, and a container yard. Its location within a special economic zone in Kazakhstan has enhanced the hub’s attractiveness for companies from various industries, facilitating the development of logistics and manufacturing.
