In Kazakhstan, investors have been selected to develop the shipbuilding industry, as reported by the Ministry of Industry. A joint project with the Turkish companies YDA and ASFAT for the construction of a shipyard in the Kazakh sector of the Caspian Sea is already under development.
The department emphasized that the implementation of the project involves significant investments from Turkish partners. Now the Kazakh side is actively working on choosing the optimal location for the shipyard, taking into account logistics and transport factors.
The partnership is aimed at meeting the country’s demand for shipbuilding services, as well as modernizing existing enterprises and developing maritime infrastructure on the shores of the Caspian Sea. Specific dates for the start of construction of the plant will be determined after completion of negotiations and signing of the relevant agreements.
