The Port of Gdynia is included in the list of ten European ports that will play a decisive role in the transformation of supply chains, logistics and industrial investment in the coming years, according to a report by international investor Accolade. Experts note that against the backdrop of congestion in the largest European harbours, such as Rotterdam and Hamburg, it is flexible and investment-ready ports with developed infrastructure that come to the fore.

In 2024, Gdynia handled 975 thousand TEU and is implementing a large-scale project to build the Outer Port – a new deep-water container terminal for servicing the largest ocean-going vessels. Thanks to the integration with the rail and road network, the port increases the volume of cargo from Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and the Baltic States. The development is also supported by the state programme “Polish Sea”, aimed at expanding port infrastructure, developing intermodal transport and introducing green energy.

According to Joanna Sinkiewicz, Managing Director of Accolade Poland, Gdynia remains one of the fastest growing logistics hubs in the Baltic region. Strategic investments and government support strengthen Poland’s position as a leader in sustainable logistics in Central and Eastern Europe, and the port itself is becoming a natural choice for investors and operators, creating the image of a “port of the future”.
