The Union of International Road Transport Associations (OTS-URTA) was established within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States (OTG) to develop road transport and trade in the region. The initiative is supported by the International Road Transport Union (IRU) and is aimed at solving problems in the field of international transport and customs clearance.
The founders of OTS-URTA were IRU members from Azerbaijan (ABADA), Kazakhstan (KAZATO), Kyrgyzstan (AIRTO KR), Turkey (UND), Turkmenistan (THADA) and Uzbekistan (AIRCUZ). The Union will work to reduce costs, eliminate trade barriers and develop cooperation between associations in the region. One of the priorities will be to strengthen logistics solutions along the Middle Corridor.
