President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Chinese President Xi Jinping held negotiations with official delegations of the two countries. The discussion centered on the prospects for investment cooperation in areas such as e-commerce, production of automobiles and auto parts, logistics, energy, agriculture, finance and tourism.
The leaders of the countries noted the presence of effective mechanisms for the development of trade and investment cooperation and confirmed the readiness of the governments of Kazakhstan and China to facilitate the successful implementation of current and promising business projects. In particular, the possibilities of expanding the transit and transport sector and strengthening logistics ties between the two states were discussed.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that Xi Jinping’s visit symbolizes the desire to deepen the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and China. In turn, Xi Jinping emphasized the dynamic development of Kazakhstan and expressed confidence that under the leadership of Tokayev the country will reach new heights in its development.
