UTK International Logistics sent its first container train from China to Tajikistan.

The Uzbek-Chinese joint venture UTK International Logistics Co. Ltd. organized the first container train service between China and Tajikistan. The project, implemented with the participation of JSC UztemirYulKonteyner, is a practical step toward strengthening transport and logistics cooperation between Central Asian countries.

The train consisted of eight 40-foot containers carrying consumer goods and construction equipment. The train departed from Lanzhou Station (Gansu Province, China) and will transit through Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan to Dushanbe-2 Station. The total route length exceeds 3,500 km, and the estimated delivery time is 18-20 days.

Fare discounts are available on this multimodal route with the support of JSC Uzbekistan Railways. The Ministry of Transport of Tajikistan emphasized that this pilot shipment confirms the parties’ readiness to launch regular container services between China and Central Asia.
