Vienna Airport and the US-based Bradford Airport Logistics have announced the establishment of a joint venture, Vienna Airport Logistics, which will be responsible for the centralized management of cargo flows within the southern extension of Terminal 3.
The key element of the project will be a 6,000 m² logistics hub, the construction of which will standardize, secure and optimize all deliveries for more than 100 shops and restaurants at the airport. The facility is scheduled to open in 2027.
The logistics center will be directly connected to the apron, which will ensure fast and environmentally friendly cargo delivery, as well as increase the predictability of logistics operations in the terminal.
“Centralized logistics is the basis for a safe, efficient and seamless passenger experience,” said Benjamin Richter, founder and chairman of Bradford Airport Logistics, emphasizing the strategic importance of the new hub.
The Vienna Airport Logistics joint venture will be part of Vienna Airport’s long-term strategy to develop sustainable infrastructure and improve operational efficiency.
