German rail logistics operator VTG has completed the acquisition of the remaining shares in Retrack Slovakia from Rail Services Slovakia, becoming its sole owner. The deal also includes Retrack Slovakia’s subsidiaries in the Czech Republic and Hungary.
Full control over the company will allow VTG to strengthen its position in rail transport between Germany and Eastern Europe, expanding services on a strategically important route. VTG has held a majority stake in Retrack Slovakia since 2020 and is now completing the consolidation of assets.
Retrack Slovakia, founded by Milan Cortis and Jan Simko, has established itself as a reliable provider of traction services in Europe. With this acquisition, VTG gains additional opportunities to develop its logistics business and optimize transport on key routes.
