WEC Lines has added Hamburg to its NWC-Portugal service from 23 September. The Dutch shipping company is launching a weekly fast connection from Hamburg to the ports of Leixões and Setúbal in Portugal. Departures from Hamburg will be on Sundays, with arrivals in Leixões on Saturdays and Setúbal on Mondays. The route will be an environmentally friendly alternative to road transport from Germany to Portugal.
The route includes the key ports of Hamburg, Rotterdam, Antwerp, Montrois, Leixões and Setúbal, providing reliable connections between important trade hubs. The service will use two 1,000 TEU vessels, with a fixed 14-day rotation and efficient short sea and inland connections.
WEC Lines CEO Cesar Leikenaar said the addition of Hamburg to the route strengthens the company’s market position and provides customers in Portugal and North-West Europe with more flexible and efficient logistics solutions.
